I remember when I was about 15 and living in Carmel Valley, I needed eye drops one night, so I went to my sister’s room knowing that there was some in there. She was off at college so she wasn’t there.

It was dark and I didn’t bother to turn on the lights because I thought there was enough light coming from the hall. So I see a bottle with a long neck and a clear liquid, walk into the hall, and proceed to go into the putting-eye drops-in position. As I am raising the bottle over my eye, I notice that the bottle is a little heavy, and not squeezing very well. I check to see what the problem is and as I am inspecting the bottle, the label says “Instant Jet.” I think to myself, “That’s a strange brand name for eye drops.” Upon closer inspection, I see under the big letters. “Super Glue.”

Yes I almost put super glue into my eyes. No I did not find the real eye drops later.
