"If you have any complaints or concerns..."
It’s been a while since I’ve written… probably not a bad thing for some of you haha. As always, these seems like a short topic in my head, but will probably go for a while. I’m sure this time though that this is gonna be short. But for this, I’m gonna be revolving the entire thing on the metaphor of a long walk, kinda based on the idea of a walk with God. Picture...

This is how I'm having fun...
I am lightning matches and putting half the flame into a vile to make smoke Then when the fire gets too close to my fingers, I throw the rest of the match in Rinse and repeat When I feel like I’ve filled enough smoke in my room, I take the vile to the bathroom to cool the matches with water then throw them away I’m not weird

Eye Drops
I remember when I was about 15 and living in Carmel Valley, I needed eye drops one night, so I went to my sister’s room knowing that there was some in there. She was off at college so she wasn’t there. It was dark and I didn’t bother to turn on the lights because I thought there was enough light coming from the hall. So I see a bottle with a long neck and a clear liquid, walk...

The Big Five Personality Traits →
science: Unfortunately, I feel the need to issue an all-out bullshit alert. The popular Myers-Briggs personality test is bullshit. The Big Five, however, are not, but we’ll get to that. You’d think that a psychological test that is popular everywhere except in psychology would raise some eyebrows, but no matter. Normally rational, scientifically-minded people seem to fall as hard for this as...

Addendum to "Legalism"
Any conversation that relates to God must be backed by the Word [at least I believe] Kinda didn’t do that, so here it is 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.  — Ephesians 2:8 - 9

Espouse
verb. to marry As part of their homework, one of my students has to memorize vocabulary by writing them out in sentences. This is one of their sentences for espouse: “Kevin Lee needs to espouse right now.” … I wasn’t sure how to take it…

Legalism
I always say to myself that these thoughts will be short. So far they haven’t been, but I’m almost sure this time.  Legalism is basically the idea that if you do something good, you will be rewarded and if you do something bad, you will be punished. This is pretty much the theology of the world, where parents will reward their kids for doing well in school and you will be punished by...

John 15:13-15
13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.  This has been my most pervading thought lately. Friends are without a...

As I walk onto UCSD campus, I remember why I like...
So I can dress like I normally do without looking like a complete weirdo Here I am with long jeans, jacket, and 2 more layers I walk onto campus and see shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and less jackets than I think the weather calls for I still think if I went to college anywhere else, I would just give up on the way, curl into a little ball, and wait for spring to thaw me out

Something in my house smells
Whatever it is, it is in between the walls of one of the halls [hey rhyming] and the boiler room, which unfortunately I have no idea how to get to. My guess is that something died in there, or that my house was in fact a mafia house, and whatever was used to keep the bodies from smelling has finally worn off…

The 5 Star System
I hate this system, especially when I’m looking on sites for reviews and stuff. Since the system has 5 increments, one increment is equal to 20%, and a half increment, even though its ONLY HALF, is 10%. So the difference between 3 stars and 4 stars is 20%, from a 60% to 80% aka epic fail to decent. But the difference between 3 and 4 stars is a count of one increment, which to most people...

Envy the Bizarre
Quick thought So, Satan became Satan because he wanted to be God, even though he was just a creation, and now because of his sin he’s down in Hell And then we come along, who are called to be God’s Children, which unless I’m wrong pretty much makes us above where Lucifer was before he became a butt head. I wonder if he was/is ever jealous of us, and thus tries to pull us down...

The "On Time" Equation
So as something for my own pleasure, I have been recently spending some nights on an “equation” which will roughly predict my punctuality to things… if only to prove my nerdiness. I really do try to be on time for things, but unfortunately I don’t get my time management genes from my mom, whose are great, but get them from my dad, whose are terrible. But anyway, while not...

Traffic
Being already licensed driver, I have no problem with what I am about propose :] More limitations on getting a license. Doesn’t matter what it is, but here’s what I think it will bring about. Stricter licensing will mean less licenses handed out, which means less people on the road, making traffic decrease. This will also put only better drivers on the road, decreasing the number of...

I’ve never encountered anything worth explaining that was simply one thing and could be explained in one way. Simple is good, but simple is what many are trying to make the inherently complicated. A discussion for another time.
